Fostering Early Childhood Development

At the Robert J. Kleberg Public Library, our Family play initiative is committed to supporting the growth and development of children from birth to age 3. This program emphasizes early learning through Montessori-inspired play, hands-on activities, and parent-child interactions that nurture essential cognitive, motor, and social skills. By engaging in creative play and exploration, children develop crucial neurological pathways that form the foundation for lifelong learning.

Our Family Place not only provides a safe and welcoming environment for young children but also empowers parents and caregivers by offering access to early literacy resources, community support, and expert advice on child development. Regular Parent-Child Workshops bring together families and local professionals—such as speech therapists, child development specialists, and nutritionists—who offer valuable guidance on raising healthy, happy children.

With a focus on family well-being, our program encourages early literacy, communication, and healthy emotional bonds. We invite families to join us for toddler storytimes, interactive workshops, and a variety of activities that promote early childhood growth in a fun and enriching way. ·
